The Life Story Network Vacancy: Operations Manager

Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience

Hours: 35 hours per week (full time)

Contract: Initially 12 months, with potential to extend dependent on achievements from this initial phase of our tide – Together in Dementia Every Day national network

The Life Story Network is a Community Interest Company set up by a group of committed health, social care and business professional and family carers, who understand the value of using life stories to improve the quality of life for individuals.

An important stream of work is the initial phased roll out of tide – Together in Dementia Every Day, a national network for carers and former carers of people with dementia. Which will cover the Liverpool City and Manchester City Regions and has been funded by the Big Lottery – Accelerating Ideas Programme.

The organisation is now actively recruiting for an Operations Manager.

A member of the Executive Management Team, you will work closely with the Chief Executive, and Board members to provide strategic leadership for the development of the LSN and for tide. You will have overall responsibility for all operations within LSN, including office systems and functions, finance, IT and HR. The post holder will require business and financial acumen to ensure that current and future operations continue on a sustainable and viable basis.

You will be educated to degree level, or equivalent business qualification, with evidence of relevant or continuing professional development or equivalent practical experience in a similar role. You must have an understanding of the broader NHS and social service sector, in particular the issues affecting Carers of people living with dementia. You will also have knowledge of charity governance requirements and the ability to ensure compliance with statutory and legal obligations.

Qualifications in project management PRINCE2 or equivalent are advantageous although not essential.
