The Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service Have A Go Sessions

At these sessions,  attendees have the opportunity to learn more about the Firefighter recruitment process; have a go at some of the physical assessments the Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service use as part of their selection process; receive tips and guidance from their physical trainers; and receive individual feedback on how to complete the application form.

In addition, there will be a number of Firefighters in attendance at the session and attendees will have the opportunity to ask them any questions that they may wish to ask about the job itself.

This event forms part of their Positive Action strategy as they are actively seeking to encourage applications from Females and candidates from BAME ethnic backgrounds to their Firefighter roles.

The sessions will be held at their Training & Development Academy, Storrington Avenue, Croxteth, L11 9AP.  The session begin at 8.30am and will finish at approximately 12.30pm.  There is no obligation to take part in the physical assessments, individuals are welcome to observe.  If individuals do wish to take part in the physical assessments, they will need to wear gym clothes and bring water.

Sessions will be held on Saturday 19 January and Saturday 09 February 2019. You can find further information on the flyer below.
