Term: Full-Time.
Salary: £27,000 per annum.
Hours per week: 35 hours / 1 FTE.
Days per week: Across 7 days on a rota basis, Monday – Sunday.
Reporting to: Head of Events and Commercial.
Location: Calderstones Park, Liverpool, L18 3JB.

The Reader is a national charity that wants to bring about a Reading Revolution so that everyone can experience and enjoy great literature, which they believe is a tool for helping humans survive and live well. By reading with school groups, families, adults, looked after children, older people in care homes, adults with physical and/or mental health conditions, people coping with or recovering from addiction and individuals in the criminal justice system, their work is helping to improve wellbeing, reduce isolation and build stronger communities.

This role will have responsibility for event delivery on-site at Calderstones Mansion House facilitating a smooth front-of-house service for all their beneficiaries, customers and staff. You will work closely with the Head of Commercial and Events to ensure the success of their businesses at Calderstones.

Key Responsibilities

Knowledge and Skills

• Detailed industry knowledge of sales and events
• Significant experience in events delivery to provide a professional and profitable service
• Bar experience, delivering great customer service at all events
• Understanding of project margins to feed into decision making
• Financial awareness of the industry and where profits are needed
• This post will be a key holder for the entire Calderstones Site and will have the responsibility for opening and closing the site.

• Experience in delivering weddings and similar events
• Bar experience.

Desirable Criteria

• Personal License holder
• Experience managing a team.
