Hours per week: 35 hours.
Days per week: 5 days.
Reporting to: Director of Development and Communications.
Location: The Reader, Mansion House, Calderstones Park, Liverpool L18 3JB.

The Reader is a national charity that wants to bring about a Reading Revolution so that everyone can experience and enjoy great literature, which they believe is a tool for helping humans survive and live well. By reading with school groups, families, adults, looked after children, older people in care homes, adults with physical and / or mental health conditions, people coping with or recovering from addiction and individuals in the criminal justice system, their work is helping to improve wellbeing, reduce isolation and build stronger communities.

Job Overview

The Children & Young Persons Coordinator (Sales & Support) will have responsibility for sales of the wide range of Storybarn products, as well as offering vital administrative to the wider CYP team; their Shared Reading projects for children and families. Flexible in your approach, you will also contribute to the delivery of creative and inspiring Storybarn programming as part of the wider Storybarn team.

This role could be for you if you:

  • Have a background in sales communications
  • Are able to demonstrate active, target driven sales experience
  • Have experience of the schools and education sales market
  • Passionately believe in the value of reading for all with a focus on children
  • Are flexible, enthusiastic and positive
  • Can bring a lively, engaging, enthusiastic presence in the Storybarn, to encourage children to engage as fully as possible with the experience.
