These vacant roles work across the catering provision of The Reader Group Enterprises, in the café, ice cream parlour, and events. You will work in a team developing and delivering a range of profitable catering offers that work in harmony with The Reader Group’s ethos and vision and consistently delivers a high level of customer service. The café and ice cream parlour are open seven days a week and provide a quality and affordable offer for the local community in welcoming environments.
Catering Supervisor
Salary: £7.65 – £8 per hour
Hours: Minimum 12 hours per week on a rota basis spanning 8am-6pm hours, Monday to Sunday
Contract: Initially three months, with likelihood of further extension
This post is for a hard-working, honest and experienced individual who is comfortable supervising others. You will be invited to participate fully in the development of The Reader, which offers many opportunities for growth and development.
Catering Assistant
Hourly Rate: £7.05-£7.50 per hour
Hours: Zero hours, on a rota basis spanning 8am-6pm hours, Monday to Sunday
Duration: Initially three-month period, with potential for extension to contract

Zero hours contracts are offered to provide both parties with flexibility. Many of The Reader’s zero hours colleagues are students or performers who need that flexibility. The Reader is happy to discuss fixed hours with the right candidate.
