Story Hunter

Based: Calderstones Park, Liverpool, L18 3JB
Reporting to: Children and Young Person Manager
Hourly Rate: £8.21
Hours: 6 hours minimum (working pattern covers 0900 – 1900 hours, Monday to Sunday with regular weekend work)
Duration: 6 month fixed term
Deadline: Thursday 8th August, 2019, 9am.

The Storybarn is a creative, interactive environment in which children can feel thoroughly alive and creative in the company of quality literature. We believe that books offer children a way to understand the world in which they live and the worlds inside themselves. The Reader exists to provide book-routes into this inner space, and to develop shared understandings of both it, and the outer world.

Training will be provided with space for creative adaptation of delivery for applicants to really make the role their own.

Children and Young Person Manager

Based: Calderstones Park, Liverpool, L18 3JB
Reporting to: Head of Children and Young People
Salary: £22,000 – £27,000 per annum
Working arrangements: 35 hours per week with a requirement for occasional weekend working on the Calderstones site, which is a 7 day a week working environment.
Annual Leave: 30 days per year plus bank holidays
Duration: Permanent
Deadline: Thursday 8th August, 2019, 9am.

You will:

  • Drive forwards and lead the development and expansion of our Families programme in the North West including managing the project delivery and ensuring that all targets are met.
  • Ensure the establishment and development of effective partnerships with delivery organisations such as Home Start. You will lead and organise the project and be accountable for processes needed to ensure effective delivery.
  • Be comfortable dealing with a large number of partners at any one time – prioritising and quickly moving between partners who may have different needs. You will be confident and comfortable spinning lots of plates at any one time and ensuring quality in every interaction.
  • Lead the Storybarn’s School Sales Strategy and performance (Retain existing customers, expand existing sales base)

Head of Development and Partnerships

Based: Calderstones Park, Liverpool, L18 3JB
Reporting to: Director of Development and Communications
Salary: £27,000 – £35,000
Hours: 35 hours per week usually Monday – Friday, with a requirement for occasional out of hours working on the Calderstones site, which is a 7 day a week working environment. We are committed to offering flexible working.
Annual Leave: 30 days per year plus bank holidays
Duration: Permanent
Deadline: Friday 16th August 2019, 9am

The Reader joined the Arts Council England National Portfolio for the first time in 2018 and we’re investing in our evaluation systems and digital infrastructure to support our growth.
