Reporting to: Storybarn Manager
Salary: £17,000 – £22,000 (Band 2)
Hours: 35 hours per week across 5 days on a rota basis spanning 0900-1700 hours,
Monday to Sunday.
Annual Leave: 30 days holiday per year plus bank holidays.
Duration: Permanent

The Storybarn Operations Coordinator will lead and inspire the delivery team, take responsibility for consistent quality of delivery and ensure excellent customer experiences.

The Storybarn is a creative, literature-based environment in which children can learn to love books and reading, feel thoroughly alive and enjoy being creative as well as playing in the great outdoors. Set in 94 acres of beautiful parkland, the Storybarn allows children to explore, share and discover the pleasure and imagination that comes from books. We believe that books offer children a way to understand the world in which they live and the worlds inside themselves. The Reader exists to provide book-routes into this inner space, and to develop shared understandings of both it and the outer world.

At the Storybarn, we aim to develop children as personal readers and to give them access to books which provide rich, high-quality reading, insight and valuable life-tools.

The Storybarn offers reading for pleasure focused activities, educational programmes and children’s parties, as well as an exciting and creative craft workshop space to extend engagement opportunities and access to play in the park.
