Stop Hate UK publishes guide to understanding LGBTQI+ hate crime

Stop Hate UK, a national organisation working to challenge all forms of hate crime and discrimination, has published a comprehensive document entitled Your Guide to Understanding LGBTQI+ Hate Crime.

The guide defines the different forms of LGBTQI+ hate crime and covers key points such as understanding hate crime law, online hate, how to report a hate crime, taking care of yourself after a crime, going to the police and going to court.

The resource will prove valuable to staff and volunteers right across the voluntary and public sectors.

Hate crime reporting app

Stop Hate UK also launched a Merseyside-wide hate crime reporting app last month, in conjunction with the Merseyside Police and Crime Commissioner. Find out more about that and how to use it on the Stop Hate UK website.
