The Whitechapel Centre – Hub Housing Advice & Homeless Resolution Worker

Term: 12 months.
Hours: 37.5 per week.
Salary: NJC SCP 11 – 22 (£21,748 – £27,041).
Location: Everton, Liverpool.

The Whitechapel Centre’s mission is to prevent and resolve homelessness, social exclusion and housing poverty by providing practical, realistic, tailored support so that each person can find a route out of homelessness, maintain a home and achieve their individual potential.

The Whitechapel Centre is pleased to invite applications against four exciting new opportunities to join their team and enhance the services they offer. Posts are funded for 1 year in the first instance.

Your role will involve providing comprehensive, high-quality housing advice, advocacy and assistance to help resolve or prevent homelessness and housing need. You will need to be a first-class communicator with extensive experience of working in partnership with other professionals, agencies and stakeholders in a homelessness, housing or welfare advice setting, you will have expert knowledge of housing legislation, first-class assessment skills and a proven track record of delivering creative and innovative solutions that prevent and resolve homelessness.

Experience in providing advice and support to people about housing, substance misuse problems, domestic abuse, care and mental health services would be a distinct advantage.
