The Whitechapel Centre’s mission is to prevent and resolve homelessness, social exclusion and housing poverty by providing practical, realistic, tailored support so that each person can find a route out of homelessness, maintain a home and achieve their individual potential.

Job Description

They have just been awarded funding which will enable them to enrich their Pathways service for people experiencing multiple disadvantage and social exclusion by offering targeted learning and development opportunities which help people improve their wellbeing and self-esteem and achieve their personal goals.

Carrying a small caseload, you will work closely with Support and Treatment Workers to deliver and broker learning and development activities and support services which help people connect with the wider community and make the transition out of homelessness services.

Well-organised, and with the energy and commitment to make a real difference, you will have a keen understanding of the needs of people experiencing multiple disadvantage and social exclusion in relation to learning and enablement activities along with practical experience of designing and delivering group learning sessions.

They are particularly interested to receive applications from people with lived experience of homelessness and/or substance misuse

Due to the nature of the role, you will need to have the flexibility to work at weekends and outside of normal office hours by arrangement. Car use will be desirable.
