Toxteth Town Hall Community Resource Centre – Activity Coordinator

Position: Freelance/self employed Sessional Activity Coordinator.
Salary: £13.50 per hour.
Hours: 5 hours per week (4hrs: 2 – 6 PM on a Friday and 1hr: home working re calls /sending text/info messages etc) – paid monthly via invoice.
Responsible to: Company Secretary in the first instance and Chair and the Board of Trustees.
Responsible for: Activity Club members.

The role is offered on an initial 1 year fixed term contract. Further fixed term contracts cold be available. This is offered under a Contract for Service and the role is classed as self employed.

They are currently looking for a part-time (5hrs a week) sessional position their charity has available for a freelance/self employed Activity Coordinator.

Role Summary: To co-ordinate and deliver the charity’s community activity programme.

Services:

  1. Planning, development, co-ordination and delivery of the charities own programme of activity and events liaising with the Company Secretary including directly running the Family games Club on site every Friday afterschool and a 4 week Friday afternoon programme in summer holidays.
  2. Assist with the marketing of the activity programme to encourage participation and attendance at activities, clubs and events etc.
  3. Befriending calls to club members etc when required e.g. lockdowns.
  4. Attend meetings with the line manager as required.
  5. Collect monitoring data/acquire feedback/input about the charity’s activity programme/clubs and provide to Company Secretary for review.
  6. Undertake your own clerical and administrative responsibilities and tasks with support from reception staff.
  7. Update details for contact lists and club member information and keep registers for all 3 clubs (Adult Gardening, Family Games and Table Tennis clubs).
  8. Maintain a safe and secure working environment liaising with the caretakers.
  9. Follow procedures for record keeping ensuring the security and confidentiality of data.
  10. Any other tasks to ensure the services are delivered effectively.

The post holder will need to undertake an enhanced DBS check and such would need to be satisfactory
