Taking on the role of Chairperson can be a daunting task. The role of the Chairperson is to provide leadership to the organisation, ensure board meetings run effectively, ensure the organisation is managed effectively, provide support to senior staff and act as figurehead for the organisation. It requires impartiality, objectivity, the ability to facilitate change and deal with conflict.

 

This session will look at:

  • Roles and responsibilities of a Chairperson
  • Effective planning, chairing and facilitating of meetings and ensuring decisions are implemented
  • Dealing with conflict and providing leadership

The session will provide you with the knowledge and tools to take on this exciting role with confidence.
