Hosted by La Salle Hotel School Liverpool C.I.C. | Friday 28 April 2023 from 1 – 2 PM | 83 Carr Lane East, Liverpool L11 4SF
VCSE organisations from Croxteth and Norris Green wards are invited to participate in the National Lottery-funded “Croxtethvision” community volunteering event at La Salle Hotel School, which is being held on Monday 8 May 2023 from 12 to 5 PM, on the day of the Big Help Out – which is a national day of volunteering to mark the King’s Coronation. The event aims to showcase the best of the area and to support local organisations to recruit for and fill volunteer vacancies, in light of the power of volunteering in helping transform communities and people’s personal development. You can learn more about this event by clicking here.
A special training event is being held before the big day, where local leaders can connect and learn from two successful local organisations: St Andrew’s Network and Triple C. Talks will be delivered on “How to Attract, Retain and Develop Volunteers”, with more information on signing up for free market stalls to exhibit at Croxtethvision.
La Salle Hotel School Liverpool CIC Chair, Gerry Proctor said;
“We understand that volunteering can literally transform lives. Through local consultation we identified that there are many opportunities open that could be filled, and so we want to bring organisations together in the aim of connecting with members of the local community and sharing their message. We have some fantastic people doing brilliant things in our area, so this will be a great opportunity to shout all about their work and meet new people.”
VCSE organisations from the area are encouraged to express an interest in attending as soon as possible.
