Disability Hate Crime Workshop

On Friday 7 December 2018, Daisy Inclusive UK is hosting a Disability Hate Crime workshop at the Daisy Nucleus Academy (DNA), 2 Barnes Street, Everton, Liverpool, L6 5LB from 10am – 3pm. It offers fantastic quality and value at just £25.00 per person.

This much acclaimed workshop includes refreshments throughout the day and certificates. More importantly, it will give you the information and knowledge required for you to address the problem that is disability hate crime. The workshop will cover:

  2. Understanding what can lead to hate crime.
  3. How to recognise incidents of disability hate crime.
  4. Methods of intervention and support.
  5. Communication development.
  6. Reporting incidents of hate crime to services.

Disability Hate Crime

Hate crime is any crime or incident where it is perceived that the perpetrator’s prejudice against an identifiable group of people is a factor in determining whom is victimised. Any incident or crime, which is perceived to be motivated because of a person’s disability or perceived disability by the victim or any other person, will be classed as “Disability Hate”. This can be committed against a person or property.
