Depending on the size of your organisation, trustees are either involved in the day-to-day finances or responsible for governance of the finance function. Each has its own difficulties and skill requirements which this course is designed to address.
As well as deeper understanding of their financial responsibilities, participants will be introduced to the legal requirements to maintain financial records, produce accounts and scrutiny thereof.
In addition, the course will cover the latest developments in charity accounting, taxation legislation and best practice. There will be opportunity to examine accounts prepared by other charities and to address specific questions and issues.
This course is ideal for new or existing trustees.
