In England, half of all adults are not active enough to benefit their health. This means that they are at risk of developing serious illnesses such as diabetes, heart disease and cancer. But it doesn’t have to be this way.
Walking for Health is England’s largest network of health walks with over 360 active walking schemes, helping people across the country lead a more active lifestyle. We’ve done this with great success for over 14 years, improving the mental and physical well-being of thousands of people.
Walking for Health want everyone to lead healthier lives. You can help them to do this by volunteering to be a walk leader.
Training is free for people who wish to set up a new walk or support an existing Walk for Health session. There is a commitment to deliver a walk for health within the next few months and for one person within the group to upload a small amount of data onto the Walk For Health database.
