Training Date: 23 November 2017

Thursday 23 November 2017, 9.30am-5pm – Capacity: The Public Services Lab, 2nd Floor, Cunard Building, Water Street, Liverpool, L3 1EL.

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is set to replace the Data Protection Act on 25 May 2018 and will bring with it a host of new obligations for CEOs and Senior Management Teams around how you collect and protect the data your organisation holds. This workshop is delivered by Capacity: The Public Services Lab.

The morning session will you provide you with: an overview of the General Data Protection Regulation, an awareness of the implications for the Third Sector and an understanding of the policies, processes and procedures that your organisation needs to have in place to become GDPR compliant.

In the afternoon session you will complete a Data Discovery to identify the types of data your organisation stores, where it is kept (physically or digitally) and what risk it would pose to your organisation in the event of a data breach. You will then complete a Gap Analysis exercise which will enable you to identify potential gaps in your organisation.

Throughout the day you will be supported by GDPR, legal and technical experts who will be on hand to answer your questions and to ensure that you get the most out of the workshop.
