LCVS Training: Thinking Ahead – Planning for Community Projects
Planning for community organisations can be a real challenge in an ever-changing environment. But proper planning can both make projects more effective, as well as make your ongoing work easier to manage.
The course involves identifying project drivers, purpose, outcomes, and success criteria, as well as assessing project risk. You’ll also acquire a range of effective techniques and tools, including theory of change tools, planning and project management templates.
This session will enable you to plan and manage projects so that results are delivered on schedule and to specification. It will help you structure a work plan for both one-off projects and ongoing work.
The session is designed for the not-for-profit sector and is adaptable to any project – short or long-term, simple or complex.
This programme is designed for people who are responsible for managing and planning any kind of project – from an arts festival to an advice service.
