Promoting Domestic Violence Awareness Among Victims/Survivors

Training Date: 14 May 2018

Monday 14 May 2018, 10am-3pm – Voice for Change Domestic Violence Support Liverpool, Old Museum, Church Road, Waterloo, L22 5NB.

The purpose of this event is to equip counsellors to work effectively with victims and survivors of domestic abuse and violence, with the use of materials from the ‘Passion for Change’ Domestic Violence Awareness Course.

If you are looking for an understanding to inform your own work with victims or survivors, or if you are likely to refer or signpost persons affected by domestic violence to Voice for Change, this course will be relevant to you, as 1 in 4 women and 1 in 7 men are affected by domestic abuse in their lifetime.

The event will be led by Pauline Pendleton, founder and manager of Voice for Change, a domestic abuse service that has been operating for 23 years.
