Stop Hate UK have been funded by OPCC on Merseyside to deliver online training sessions in each of the Local Authority areas.

There are only 24 spaces available for the training, which will be filled on a first come, first served approach.

The session learning content includes:

• OPCC Merseyside and Stop Hate UK partnership
• Defining Hate Crime and understanding its impact​
• Why the need for third-party reporting centres
• Increasing reporting and accessing support
• The role of a third-party reporting centre
• Reporting and the difference it makes
• Signposting options: OPCC hate crime support services
• The role of Stop Hate UK and its 24/7 Stop Hate Line
• Q&A.

Learning outcomes for attendees include:

• Understanding of hate crime and its impact
• Recognising the importance of responding to reports and disclosures
• Third-party reporting processes
• Awareness of local support networks and out of hours support.
