Are you female or nonbinary and looking for a career in IT/Tech but don’t know where to start? Durham University and Catch22 will be delivering 30 places for their free and accredited online course. It will provide learners with the knowledge and skills they need to start a career in the tech sector.

TechUP Women is a multi-award-winning programme, developed closely with industry, which supports women into tech careers. It will help develop IT skills, IT support skills along with workplace readiness skills, it will also feature specialist taster career path sessions.

Participants will be assigned a one-to-one industry mentor while on the programme and also offered support through Catch22 to help find and apply for jobs, apprenticeships and internships at the end of the programme.

To be able to apply you must:

  • Be resident and eligible to work in the UK (evidence to be checked on application).
  • Identify as female or non-binary.
  • Preferably hold GCSE level Maths and English or equivalent.
  • Open to people aged 18 – 30 (priority will be given to those 18–24).
  • Experience a barrier to education and employment.
  • Have a salary less than £25,000 of be unemployed.
  • Do not have IT qualification at A level or above.
