Recruiting new volunteers is one thing, but keeping them can be another matter, and can require a mix of both formal and informal practice. This workshop will focus on exploring and applying good practice techniques when supporting and supervising volunteers.

At the end of the workshop you will be able to:

• Identify the difference between support and supervision
• Describe how volunteer motivations change and how this needs to be reflected in support and supervision
• Describe the techniques to provide good support and supervision
• Identify different ways of providing recognition for volunteers

This course is delivered by Volunteer Centre Liverpool, which merged with LCVS at the start of 2016.
