It’s the most important document relating to your organisation - forming a legal contract that defines your relationship with the world, including service users and funders. It also regulates how those involved in an organisation act in relation to each other. A well-drafted governing document can help you operate smoothly, hold effective meetings, avoid disputes, and make sure that only suitable people get involved.
