Hosted by GamCare | multiple dates available | online
An interactive online workshop from GamCare, aimed at anyone who supports women in a professional context in North West England.
The subject of gambling and its associated harms is currently a hot topic and is acknowledged by experts as a serious health issue with far reaching consequences.
Gambling related harm can negatively affect finances, mental health, and relationships, not just for the gambler but for the those around them. The issue of women affected by gambling related harms is perceived as a hidden problem, and by raising awareness of the issue we are confident that we can make it more identifiable for people who support women.
This training from GamCare is CPD accredited and aims to raise awareness of the topic of women and problem gambling, enabling workers to confidently recognise, respond and refer women who are experience gambling issues into our support and treatment services.
GamCare is a charity and the women’s programme training is funded by the Tampon Tax fund.
Numerous dates are available for this training and you can register online, via Eventbrite.
