Job Summary

Liverpool’s Unity Theatre is currently looking for new trustees to join their Board who share our passion for theatre and will help them to continue championing new artists and create stunning theatre. Unity Theatre has a proud history of radical theatre, brilliant stories and diverse programming dating back to the early twentieth century. This dedication to creating and showcasing outstanding work guides Unity in all that they do.

As they move into an exciting new chapter in 2024, it is the perfect time to welcome new trustees to continue this brilliant legacy, while also breathing new life into the organisation, and working closely with the new Artistic Director to strategically support Unity’s future. Trustees play an invaluable part in leading the organisation and setting the strategy and future ambitions of the theatre. They are looking to recruit up to four new trustees to add to the talent and dedication of their existing board.

They are particularly looking for trustees with in-depth experience of one or some of the following area:

  • Strategic thinking and organisational planning over the long term
  • Leadership and management in the performing arts sector
  • Fundraising and income generation
  • Artists with a track record of presenting exceptional, thought-provoking work
  • Financial management within constraints
  • Leading a board of trustees as Chair, as the current chair of the board is due to retire soon.
