In recent years, LCVS has supported thousands of organisations to develop successful funding applications worth millions of pounds. We help with writing funding applications and offer guidance to address any problems or barriers to progress.
As Funding Advisor you will assist voluntary and community organisations with the research, presentation and processing of funding applications. You will organise and provide training and workshops for organisations helping them to identify appropriate funders for their strategies, projects and appeals. You will provide assistance to organisations to help them identify gaps/weaknesses in funding submissions.
You’ll have experience of working with both funders and organisations in preparing applications and bids. You’ll also have a good understanding of the charity sector and the ability to provide organisations with accurate and sound information. You are confident public speaking – comfortable with delivering workshops and training sessions.

Community Accounting Team Leader
Salary: £25,500 – £27,000
Hours: Full-time
In recent years, LCVS has supported thousands of organisations by delivering practical and accessible services to the voluntary sector including financal, accounting and payroll administration services.
As Community Accounting Team Leader you will oversee the delivery of community accountancy services to boards and executives of voluntary organisations. You’ll maintain financial records, prepare year-end financial statements and collate funding data on behalf of LCVS’s charity clients. You’ll directly support LCVS’s accountancy clients by delivering financial advice, information and guidance. You’ll provide assistance to members of the community accountancy team, develop standardised systems representing best practice and deliver training as required.
You will have worked in a financial role within the commercial or charity sector. You’ll have experience of preparing sets of accounts and knowledge of charity bookkeeping. You’ll have exceptional communication skills and the ability to motivate staff.

2 x Finance and Accountancy Administrative Assistant
Salary: £15,500 – £16,500
Hours: Full-time
As Finance and Accountancy Administrative Assistant you will be involved in all areas including data input, reconciliation, producing statements and other day-to-day tasks in all areas of financial administration.
You’ll operate bank and cash systems, help raising cheques and BACS payments, maintain petty cash and associated records. You will respond to enquiries from external parties including suppliers, customers, donors and clients. You’ll assist in all areas of general administration including reception duties and arranging client meetings.
You’ll have experience of working in an office environment. You must have a “can do” attitude and the ability to adapt to different tasks quickly. Excellent Microsoft Excel and Word skills are essential to this post. Knowledge of bookkeeping is highly desirable.
