Vauxhall Community Law & Information Centre – Bereavement Support Caseworker

Salary: LA Payscale 5/6 £22,183 – £26,511 p.a. +5% Pension Contribution
Hours per week: 35 hours
Days per week: 5 days
Reporting to: Senior Solicitor
Location: Vauxhall, Liverpool.

Vauxhall Community Law and Information Centre has been providing free independent, expert legal advice to the community since 1973. They provide access to justice in our community on a range of social welfare issues, they offer welfare benefits, debt and housing advice as well as a bereavement advice service. They are based locally in Vauxhall, Liverpool and provide advice across the Liverpool City Region. They are a small community-based law centre.

The postholder will assist in providing an efficient and effective bereavement service, bereavement support and practical advice in relation to welfare benefits, debt and housing. They will work as part of a team to ensure that clients are receiving the best support available to help them with any matters that arise out of bereavement. They will be required to provide advice through various service delivery points, including outreach locations working with public service partners such as the NHS.
