Voice of the Child Workshops

Liverpool City Council Children and Young People’s Services is offering places to voluntary sector colleagues on the Voice of the Child workshops which take place on the following dates:

• 26 January 2018
• 7 February 2018
• 14 February 2018
• 28 February 2018
• 9 March 2018
• 15 March 2018

Workshops are three hours in length and there is a morning and afternoon option on each date.

Sessions will explore voice of the child work and the duty of professionals to understand and record the lived experiences of children they work with.  There will be an opportunity to discuss best practice as well as barriers to undertaking this work and how to overcome challenging obstacles that you may encounter. Various tools and methods to elicit and record voice of the child work will be discussed so that practitioners feel enthusiastic and confident to undertake this work.

Sessions are aimed at all front line practitioners within Children’s Services; places are also being offered to multi-agency partners.
