Volunteer at LightNight 2017

LightNight 2017 is taking place on Friday 19 May 2017 and Open Culture are looking for a team of volunteers who are passionate about the arts to help out on the night.

This opportunity is for you if you want to gain experience working in the arts and fancy being part of one of the biggest nights in Liverpool’s cultural calendar. Co-ordinated by Liverpool non-profit organisation Open Culture, LightNight gives the local arts community a platform to create a varied programme of arts and cultural activity concentrated into a single evening.

Volunteering at LightNight is a great way to learn more about delivering arts events and get useful work experience for your CV. This is ideal for confident, cheery sorts who are enthusiastic about arts and culture, enjoy talking to new people and are willing to be an ambassador for LightNight and Open Culture.

Volunteers are needed to work across three areas on the night:

  1. Selling LightNight festival guides and merchandise
  2. Filling in audience surveys
  3. Helping out with specific LightNight events

For more information about these areas and the responsibilities involved, read the full volunteer brief here. You can apply to be a LightNight volunteer using the online form.

Deadline for applications: Monday 24 April 2017

For more information or if you have any questions, email volunteer@culture.org.uk or call 0151 478 4550.
