The Garfield Weston Foundation has launched a new £5m fund to celebrate its 60th anniversary year, with a view to help local charities provide new or improve existing community facilities.
Communities need good facilities and raising funds takes time and effort. For this reason, up to £150,000 is available to projects that successfully apply. The Foundation is using this anniversary year to acknowledge the vulnerable position that many small and local charities are in, and by offering capital funding it hopes to invest in much needed facilities that will enable them to continue providing support.
This is a one-off grants scheme in 2018 to support Capital projects that will benefit local communities across the UK. It is open to UK registered charities, CIOs, places of worship and state schools only with a total income under £3million.
Closing date: 30 June 2018. Decisions will not be made until October 2018.
