Administration and Information Officer – Liverpool & Knowsley SEND IASS

Hours: 16 hours per week
Salary: actual £8,557 (FTE £18,764) plus benefits
Holidays: 27 days’ holiday per annum (pro rata)

Wired is a registered charity that provides a range of services to disabled adults, children, young people, parents and carers. WIRED is seeking to appoint a positive and organised Administrator and Information Officer to work within Liverpool & Knowsley SEND IASS (Special Educational Needs & Disabilities Information, Advice and Support Service). The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high quality administrative support and customer service to a wide range of stakeholders.

The Administration and Information Officer is a first point of contact for children and young people with SEND (Special Educational Needs/Disabilities), their parents/carers, and multi-agency professionals. The Administration and Information Officer will provide efficient & effective administrative support to Liverpool & Knowsley SEND IASS to enable the smooth running of this fast-paced service.

It is essential to have experience of developing and maintaining effective administrative systems in an office environment. You will need to demonstrate a high standard of communication and customer service skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure. You will have a good working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Adobe Acrobat writer (or equivalent packages), and databases, experience of working with Microsoft Dynamics would be an advantage. The person appointed will need to be competent at making day-to-day decisions and able to manage their time efficiently.

Children and Young Person SEND IASS Support Officer – Liverpool & Knowsley SEND IASS

WIRED is seeking to appoint a dynamic and self-motivated Children & Young Person SEND IASS Support Officer to work within Liverpool & Knowsley SEND IASS (Special Educational Needs & Disabilities Information, Advice and Support Service). The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working with children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities using a multi-agency approach.

The Children & Young Person SEND IASS Support Officer will empower children, young people with special educational needs/disabilities to make an informed contribution to decisions made about their education, health or care. The role will involve providing information, advice and support based upon the Children and Families Act (2014), SEND Code of Practice (2015) and other relevant legislation and guidance. The successful candidate will have experience of translating information to make it accessible for children and young people with complex needs.

It is essential to have experience of designing and delivering presentations. You will have a good working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Adobe Acrobat writer (or equivalent packages), and databases. Experience of developing children and young person services or projects would be an advantage. The person appointed will need to be competent at making day-to-day decisions, able to manage their time efficiently and have a full, clean driving licence.

WIRED is seeking to appoint two positive and proactive SEND IASS Support Officers to work within Liverpool & Knowsley SEND IASS (Special Educational Needs & Disabilities Information, Advice and Support Service). The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high quality information, advice and support in a fast-paced environment.

The SEND IASS Support Officer will empower children, young people with special educational needs/disabilities, and their parents/carers to make an informed contribution to any decisions made about their education, health or care.
