Wired Vacancy: Independent Supporter

Salary: £19,494 per annum pro rata (£8,914 actual)
Hours: 16 hours per week

Liverpool and Knowsley Special Educational Needs/Disability Information Advice and Support Service (SEND IASS – formerly Parent Partnership) is seeking to appoint an Independent Supporter to assist in the day-to-day running of a busy service for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and their parent carers.

Applicants will need to demonstrate a high level of administrative, IT and organisational skills and have previous experience, in either a paid or voluntary capacity, of working with children/young people with SEND and/or parent carers. It is essential to have knowledge of the Special Educational Needs and Disability agenda and relevant SEND legislation, experience of working across, and with a wide range of partners and agencies.

A current full driving licence is essential, so too is a willingness to work outside of office hours were events and meetings are scheduled.
