Wirral Mencap are seeking Volunteer Buddies as part of Befriending Week

Wirral Mencap is excited to be celebrating Befriending Week and wants to highlight the positive impact that Befriending can bring and encourage others to be a Volunteer Buddy with them.

One of their Befrienders shares what Befriending means to them:

‘’Befriending is a chat and a human connection! It’s sharing your likes, dislikes, your day-to-day activities, and being an ear to listen to when needed. It’s building connections with another individual that brings joy to your life!

It’s an incredible experience that can really open your eyes and expand your mind to the wonderful human connections we sometimes miss in our busy lives. You get to know someone whose path you may have never crossed without the befriending scheme, and variety is the spice of life!’’
