Workshop to Help Improve Understanding of the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) Process

In order to help local groups respond to challenges and changes within Welfare Reforms, the DWP have suggested a multi-agency workshop to help improve understanding of the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) process. The workshop would have input from DWP and the PIP Assessment Provider for NW (IAS).

We are acutely aware for some customers the PIP Assessment process can appear daunting and confusing and this session will help support organisations to support clients; helping them to understand the process better and help clients provide the best possible evidence.

The workshop should last for around 2/3 hours and will include the following (with time for questions):

PIP videos : https://www.gov.uk/government/news/personal-independence-payment-customer-journey-films

IAS : information on how to prepare to submit your PIP assessment
IAS: PIP 2 Descriptors : what is being asked for?

If there is sufficient interest, we will be facilitating the session here at LCVS.  If you are interested, please contact Katie Presley at katie.presley@phe.gov.uk by Friday 29 March.
