Young Addaction Liverpool Vacancy: Young Persons Ambassador

Salary: £16,478 pro rata
Hours: 18 hours per week
Contract: Fixed term for 12 months

Young Addaction Liverpool is recruiting for a new role as a Young Persons Ambassador. The young ambassador’s role will be to create service user forum and advocate as the service users voice, whilst encouraging young people to take responsibility for their own behaviour and recovery. They will also provide feedback to the service manager and commissioners following on from the forum.

They will provide one to one mentoring with young people aged 10-24. The young person’s ambassador will have the ability to gain the trust of and insight from young people at risk or within the criminal justice system. You can evidence positive change in there own lives with the ability to reflect on the impact that criminal activity has on the lives of young people.

The impact of this part time role will be early intervention that match the needs of young people, diverting them away from problematic behaviour, providing an alternative to involvement in the criminal justice system and help them develop more positive outcomes in their lives.

The successful candidate must be motivated to work as part of a diverse team and understand the importance of communication with their line manager and team. You will be positive and motivated, you will be an outstanding communicator, and possess excellent skills as a team player. You will also be results driven, highly organised with excellent time management skills. You will also embody the guiding principles of Addaction – Collaborative, Ethical, Inspiring, Resilient, Self-Challenging.

Training for the role will be provided for the role and no previous experience is needed.
