Young Carers Assessment Awareness Workforce Development Sessions

Liverpool City Council and Barnardo’s, as part of the city’s Early Help Workforce Developments, are continuing to delivering half-day multi-agency sessions to ensure young carers and their families are provided with an effective response from both adult and children’s services, and practitioners understand their roles and responsibilities.

There are two specific sessions. Managers, practitioners or staff are invited to attend the most appropriate one.

The Young Carers Assessment half-day awareness raising sessions are aimed at EHAT Agencies and the pre-EHAT staff who have working knowledge, or attended a previous session and want to refresh their knowledge. These sessions take place on 23 or 27 July 2018.

The pre-EHAT and Young Carers Assessment half-day awareness raising sessions are for those agencies where it is agreed they complete the pre-EHAT only and mandatory for Liverpool City Council adult practitioners. If they have previously attended a session, they can go on the above to refresh their knowledge. These sessions take place on 25 July or 9 August 2018.

All bookings are to be made on the Early Help Directory, Workforce Development Event Booking System. Click on multi-agency and search for Young Carers, making sure you book onto the correct one.

If you haven’t already used the Early Help Directory, you need to firstly register an account by clicking ‘Register’ at the top right of the homepage.
