YPAS – Recruit Trainee IPT-A Therapist (Interpersonal Therapy with Adolescents)

Salary: NJC point 20 – £32,597.
Hours per week: 35 hours.

YPAS is a Merseyside based Charity, established in 1966. They serve a population of over 150,000 children and young people. They support children and young people aged 5 – 25 years and families to address their mental health and emotional well-being difficulties.

Job Overview

This is a 12-month paid training post that includes fully funded training leading to a postgraduate qualification in IPT-A. You will receive expert clinical supervision and clinical experience as part of a multidisciplinary team committed to improving outcomes for children and young people.

Are you an accredited counsellor, social worker, mental health nurse, occupational therapist looking to increase skills and competencies working in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS)? Successful candidates will need to demonstrate existing knowledge and experience of working therapeutically with young people with emotional wellbeing and mental health difficulties.

Experience of at least 2 years working with children and young people is essential. Applicants without the above recognised core profession but with 4 years’ experience of working in a mental health service delivering therapy will be considered for eligibility via the Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes (KSA) framework based on that developed by the BABCP.
