Hope Liverpool Students’ Union Vacancy – Advice & Welfare Services Coordinator

Grade: £24,029 – £27,025 p.a. (2018 – 19), Grade 5 University Single Pay Spine
Responsible to: General Manager
Hours of Work: LHSU operates an Annualised Hours system. You will be expected to work an average of 35 hours per week over the year.

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Advice & Welfare Services Coordinator to join a small team of staff at an incredibly exciting time for the Union. We are looking for a person who has the ability to supervise, support and develop the Advice Service, Nightline and its volunteers.

Liverpool Hope Students’ Union is an exciting and vibrant place to work. We currently have three areas of focus: Student Voice / Representation, Advice / Welfare, and Student Activities. The LHSU Advice Service is five years old and provides free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to students on their rights and responsibilities.

The successful candidate will become part of a vibrant and enthusiastic team and will implement relevant KPIs stemming from our new Strategic Plan. They will also offer advice to students, support and direction to trainee paralegals and Nightliners, and will have an good understanding of the advice and welfare needs of students in HE.
