Commissioning Opportunity – Bus Focus Groups

Liverpool City Region Combined Authority (LCRCA) Bus Alliance is looking to commission community and voluntary sector organisations to carry out research into LCR citizens’ attitudes towards travelling by bus in the era of COVID-19. The main aim is to identify actionable insights that will help to inform future marketing campaigns and messaging to increase bus patronage, as part of Liverpool City Region’s recovery from the coronavirus pandemic.

During the outbreak of COVID-19, Merseytravel and transport operators have been working together, to provide the best service possible and have conducted a number of tracker surveys. As part of this, LCRCA want to engage with diverse groups to obtain a better understanding of citizens attitudes towards bus use and to provide more inclusive insight into future delivery of services. They are looking to engage with citizens across the 6 district of Liverpool City Region (Liverpool, Knowsley, Halton, Sefton, St. Helens and Wirral).

They are seeking applications from you to deliver a number of focus groups within this community.

There is a tight deadline for this delivery. The deadline for outline proposals is to be submitted to community@liverpoolcityregion-ca.gov.uk is midnight, 27 September 2020.

LCRCA will notify applicants by the 28th September and focus groups and final report will need to be submitted by 12th October 2020.

Additional note: Organisations can apply to deliver one or all of the focus groups. The budget can be used for staff costs, and how the sessions are delivered is up to the organisation delivering them.
