Feedback Wanted | Cheshire and Merseyside Children and Young People’s Mental Health Plan

From Friday 19 January to Friday 1 March 2024, NHS Cheshire and Merseyside is holding a six-week period of engagement to help inform a refresh of the ICB Children and Young People’s (CYP) Mental Health Transformation Plan.

As part of this, they want to gather views about people’s experience of children’s and young people’s mental health services as patients, carers or family members – what works well, and what could be done better? What barriers have they faced, and do they feel they have been treated differently or unfairly when accessing services?

To try to ensure that they reach as many people as possible, they’re asking partners to help them. They know that their service providers (both NHS and Non-NHS) and their voluntary and community groups host CYP/Parent Carer Forums locally. They are asking if you can support the engagement by asking your group/s to discuss some key questions and feedback to them.

So, do you have an existing group that would like to contribute to the conversation?

If so, please click here to find attached a copy of the discussion guide and key questions.

If you would like help facilitating your group discussions, please contact their Engagement Team at engagement@cheshireandmerseyside.nhs.uk.

They also have a questionnaire open to professionals. Please see the poster below for them QR code to take you to the questionnaire.

It won’t take long to complete and they really want to hear from you too. Please note that this questionnaire is not open to the public and is just open to professionals only.

The feedback received will be used to develop a refreshed Children and Young People’s Mental Health Transformation Plan for Cheshire and Merseyside, which is due to be published in summer 2024.
