Liverpool City Council | Energy grant for small businesses

Deadline: March 2025 or until the fund has been spent.

Liverpool City Council (LCC) have been awarded £200,000 from the government’s Household Support Fund to help Liverpool’s third sector organisations deal with increased energy costs during the winter months. Eligible businesses can apply for a one-off grant of £500.

This tool could come in handy as it’s gotten more expensive for providers to buy energy, which has led to it costing more for us to power our homes and businesses.

Household Support Fund – Extended until March 2025

This fund was set up for local authorities to help support some groups with essential living costs – the government has announced a further extension to the Household Support Fund from 1 October 2024 to 31 March 2025.

 

Energy UK | Additional support for customers from energy suppliers

Despite rising costs and increased pressure, energy suppliers continue to increase the support they provide to customers, including additional funding for customers in fuel poverty. All major retail suppliers have their own funds, independently managed by fund administrators or in partnership with consumer bodies like Citizens Advice.

 

Mind & Money Programme

This is a project which supports those in the Liverpool City Region with the Cost of Living Crisis.

Mind & Money is delivered through a partnership approach, led by The Women’s Organisation alongside, Citizens Advice (Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens, Wirral), Pennysmart and the Vauxhall Law Centre.

The partnership has been carefully selected to ensure a high quality of service is delivered across diverse communities.

With it being winter, they are seeing more referrals for support with money management, bill reduction, and more. Other services include but not limited to;
