Riverside Learning & Education Centre is calling employers in creative industries to participate in their traineeships

Riverside Learning & Education Centre is a charity that was established nearly 40 years ago, it provides education and learning opportunities for people who may experience difficulty in accessing them. They are now extending an invitation to employers in creative industries to participate in their traineeships programme.

Employers will join the Riverside Learning & Education Centre’s “Employer Bank” which will then open up work experience opportunities to young people aged 16 to 18 years old.

What is included in creative industries?

  • Advertising and marketing
  • Architecture
  • Crafts
  • Design: product, graphic and fashion design
  • Film, TV productions, TV, video, radio and photography
  • IT, software and computer services
  • Publishing
  • Museums, galleries and libraries
  • Music, performing and visual arts including recording and exhibition.

Once you join the Employer Bank, the Riverside Learning & Education Centre will develop a traineeships course around your placement, in discussion with you, and the young person.

Placement duration can be negotiable, ranging from a day “taster” to longer periods.

Riverside Learning & Education Centre welcomes the opportunity for you to nominate young people who may have approached you directly, and subject to a simple eligibility check, they will happily welcome them onto their programme.
