The Workers’ Educational Association Vacancy: Better Off Finance Employability Trainer

Salary: £24,836 (usual starting salary) – £26,677 pro rata (actual salary £9,934)
Hours: 14 hours per week (0.4FTE)
Contract: Fixed term until 28 September 2018

The Workers’ Educational Association is  looking to recruit an Employability Trainer. The main purpose of role is to prepare and deliver courses targeted at eligible local working age people to increase their employability skills and move them closer to / into employment and training, through the Building Better Opportunities Better Off Finances project across Liverpool City Region.

You will teach across Liverpool City Region, mainly in local community venues, delivering a series of prepared employability modules, building confidence and developing better communication skills. It is part of a wider Financial Inclusion project, led by The Women’s Organisation (TWO) and in partnership with Citizens’ Advice Bureaux across the city region.

The Workers’ Educational Association is a charity and the UK’s largest voluntary sector provider of adult education. The charity has a strong sense of social purpose, dedicated to bringing great teaching into the heart of local communities. All educational provision is developed with this in mind and our courses can be set up almost anywhere – for example in clubs, community centres, village halls, schools, pubs or where people work.

You will receive generous terms and conditions, including 30 days holiday (plus bank holidays), pension scheme – subject to eligibility. Please note holiday entitlement, including bank holidays is pro rata for part time staff.
