Vauxhall Community Law and Information Centre – Asylum Support and Housing Caseworker

Contract: Temporary – limited to 1 years’ worth of funding.
Term: Part-time (Potential for hours to be increased to full time subject to funding).
Salary: £25,000 pro-rata.
Hours per week: 20 hours.
Reporting to: Housing Solicitor.
Location: Liverpool.

Vauxhall Community Law and Information Centre has been providing free independent, expert legal advice to the community since 1973. They provide access to justice in our community on a range of social welfare issues, they offer welfare benefits, debt and housing advice as well as a bereavement advice service. They are based locally in Vauxhall, Liverpool and provide advice across the Liverpool City Region. They are a small community-based law centre.

The postholder will provide vital support to their housing solicitor in the housing department, which will include casework and administrative support. The casework will involve providing support to asylum seekers and persons with No Recourse to Public Funds in relation to housing.
